Light, compact, and...
Light, compact, and very easy to conceal. .38 Special rounds shoot like butter. .357 Magnum rounds kick like a mule. This weapon is accurate up close (5-10 feet) but after that you have use your skill and really focus. Good for vehicle carry and hog killin. I wouldn't suggest using this to defend your home, it's not designed for that. It's designed for close encounters.

I wanted a revolver...
I wanted a revolver with concealed hammer and a full grip. This is a 357, but I only shoot 38 special ammunition. Didn't want to pay the price for a Smith & Wesson. Some don't like Charter Arms for whatever reason, but the quality meets my needs and it shoots just fine.

A: yes it will handle +p ammo all day long and while the recoil is stout its not as bad as shooting it with full power .357 loads

A: Kurt, Yes, but a box of +P at the range is not a lot of fun. The revolver is fairly heavy but +P 38 special and 357 mag rounds really snap this 2.2" barrel revolver.

A: Kurt, it will handle +P loads but you will get more muzzle blast and longer sight recovery times and not as much gain in muzzle velocity with the short barrel. +P starts to have more of an advantage starting around 4 inches. Anything shorter and you have lots of unburnt powder and fireball.
