Out of the box...
Out of the box impression was very good. Light weight, very concealable, nice looking revolver, and comfortable in hand. Only initial drawback was the wheel was stiff and hard at times to open, but with lubrication and just use it loosened up and opens much better. I have not fired much from this revolver as of yet, but what I have fired felt good. Good trigger pull, in fact it was very smooth at double action. It's light weight at 17 oz of solid steel and did have some kick. Just have to get used to it. Holds 5 rounds. It's not really a target gun, I think defensively it will do the job. Good service by Bud's but will used a different FLL next time. Recommended for anyone looking for a more budget friendly conceal carry hand gun.

The big reason to...
The big reason to consider this model versus the one with standard bluing is the black nitride finish. I own one of each and there is a noticeable difference. This one seems more like the metal itself is blued whereas the standard model feels more like a coating the way parkerizing always does. The steel 16 oz Undercovers are great little revolvers and severely underrated. they do what they need to when they need to. For any Charter Arms I recommend picking up the classic Bulldog wood grips from their website to bring them from great up to excellent.
