This revolver is a...
This revolver is a "thing of beauty" and a "mechanical expertise". It's Cowboy "fan/ fanning" shooting is beyond my expectations for performance. However I wish the historians got it correct in that Doc Holiday used the expression "I'm your huckle bearer" and NOT Huckleberry! As per the word "Huckle" comes from the blacksmith's name for the handles on a coffin. However when people hear it they mistaken it for Huckleberry and Doc never bothered tocorrect them ; instead he was amused at their ignorance. it was said he just smiled at the person's misunderstanding. So.... I surely know Huckle Bearer would have a better saying for a Gun Slinger instead of "Huckleberry" but that's HollyWood for you!

I give the firearm...
I give the firearm five stars, but Bud's really dropped the ball this time on customer service. This revolver is heavy and solid, and it definitely took me a little time to get used to the small, birdshead grip. But I love it, and it was a lot of fun at the range! The 45 colt ammo packs a wallop on such a small gun, and I'm thankful that that weight was there to help manage the recoil. The box candy was as expected from Cimmarron, and the gun itself appears to be flawless. I put 50 rounds through it my first time at the range without any incident, and after a thorough cleaning I was able to really admire the craftsmanship. The plastic grips appear a little less expensive than I had hoped, and I may upgrade them to pearl grips at a later time. This doesn't distract from the gun itself nor the overall appearance, just a personal preference. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

I purchased a new...
I purchased a new Huckleberry 45 caliber. Nice looking pistol. However, 2 months ago took it to shoot. Fired off 5 rounds with no problem. Reloaded 5 rounds. Fired 2 more rounds and cylinder locked up. Expert gunsmith looked at it and found cylinder locked against loading gate due to insufficient space. This was my first purchase of a Cimmaron product and will be my last. Have Ruger single action pistols that shoot great new out of box. Several other well known American made brands as well with no problems. I understand Cimmaron is an import from Italy. Seems to me Cimmaron should have more quality control on their reproductions and test firing before shipping them to retail for sale for the price they sell them for.
