I selected the MP4500...

I selected the MP4500 with the 4 3/4" barrel and in 45 long colt. I took the revolver to the range and fired 100 rounds through it with no problems what so ever. The gun is extremely accurate and was able to put all rounds within a 3" circle at 10 yards. Fit and finish are very good. Everything fits very well and there are no machine marks on the gun. The only things I found to not be correct is the back of the bullet ejection rod is not machined out as on a original colt. The other thing I found not to be as accurate is that there is no bushing that's fits inside the cylinder. It is machined out without the bushing. I have an original artillery model 1874 45 colt I used to compare the MP4500 against. Except for. The 2 items I have mentioned the MP4500 is an excellent revolver. My NP4500 was made by Uberti so it has the 3 click system with the rod that fits inside the hammer and keeps the firing pin off of the bullet.

A: Brooks, yes, this model does have the traditional COLT 4 Clicks. Newer models have a Floating Firing Pin and only 3 Clicks.

Q: I asked this question for same with 5.5 inch barrel. Three or four clicks? One of the reviews says, only three click. Can anyone clarify?

A: Hi Boyd and welcome back. This depends on when the model received was manufactured. New old stock will have 4 Click operation and recent production models will have 3 Click operation for safe 6rd carry. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

A: Hi Boyd, after doing some further research, here is what I have found - All the Cimarrons with model number starting with PP are Pietta. Model numbers starting with CA, MP, ER, and a couple others are their Ubertis. The Pietta's are 4 click revolvers, while the Uberti's are 3 clicks.
