Great revolver, really...
Great revolver, really surprised how accurate it is with the fixed sights. Since this pistol has 7 1/2 barrel, weight is all forward but that helps with recoil with hot 357. No function problems, cylinder locks up tight. Real pleased. Buds ordering and shipping were smooth as usual.

I'm not the best...
I'm not the best writer in the world, but just let me say that this is a GREAT pistol!!!! It's very well made. There were no blemishes at all on the frame or walnut handle. Has a very smooth action. I will say that it is a heavy gun; I think it's almost three pounds. But that helps it to fire very smoothly, as there is very little recoil. If you've never owned a single action pistol before, I would suggest investing the $15 to buy some snap caps and spending a day or so just getting to know how it feels and operates. All in all, I am very, very pleased with this gun.

Questions & Answers
Q: Does this gun have a three or four click hammer?
Author: David G.

A: It has the traditional 4-click action and the standard Colt style firing pin. Cimarron frontier is made by Pietta. I hope this helps

A: It is a 3 click, full review here with a video showing the hammer clicks about half way down the page https://www.pewpewtactical.com/cimarron-frontier-uberti-1873-review/ ----------- I found some info online that says you can convert it to a 4 click From the forums "purchased a Cimarron Model P MP437 and it's a 3 Clicker. Talked with Cimarron and to make it a 4 clicker, I just need to order a hammer and trigger and they are drop in no gun smithing needed. The hammer part # is: A0502002CCH / Price: $92.70 The trigger part # is: 400010 / Price: $16.48 Shipping = $9.77 He also sent me this information on which of their Colt Clones have 4 clicks and here is his information. All 1873 SAA revolvers manufactured by Pietta are 4-click guns. All 1873 SAA revolvers built on the "Old Model" frame manufactured by Uberti are 4-click guns. Hope this helps." https://forums.sassnet.com/index.php?/topic/278658-current-cimarron-4-click-saa-revolver-information/

A: David, this one depends on when the pistol was manufactured. Recent models have gone to the Floating Firing Pin 3 - Click feature. I would call Cimarron Customer Service with the UPC code to verify at 1877-SIXGUN1 -- (1877-749-4861).

Q: Would the frames of these guns withstand full powered .357 loads, or should one stick with a lighter cowboy action-type .357 load? I would probably tend to stick with that or the .38's, but wanted to ask just to see. Thanks in advance.

A: Hi CJ and welcome. This is rated for Standard SAAMI Pressure .357 Magnum loads no issue. Just nothing like the Buffalo Bore Heavy Magnum : https://www.buffalobore.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=100

A: C J , this is straight from the Cimarron web site - "We recommend that you shoot only standard over the counter ammunition that meet SAMMI specifications, http://www.saami.org/. Shooting any ammo like +P or reloads will void the warranty on the gun. Cimarron Firearms does not have any plans to make any guns that shoot +P ammunition." Stay safe & have a great day!

Q: Is this made by pietta? All frontiers are pietta made brought in by cimarron. Just making sure on this.
