One of the best features is the cylinder release is a very ergonomic squeeze design far superior to other brands. This GP100 is solid as a rock.

Can't beat a Ruger...
Can't beat a Ruger GP-100 for a tough, reliable, good looking pistol. I got the 6 inch barrel because I already had the 4 inch barrel and love them both. And you can't beat the prices you get at BGS!

A: it depends on your definition of better the Ruger GP100 is the strongest action available it is a lot more gun than the taurus (which can be hit or miss on quality) In this case you get what you pay for that said if you just want to shoot 38 special at the range then the tarurs or rossi would be fine
