What a Gem. Fit,...
What a Gem. Fit, finish & function are impeccable. Deep dark black bluing, color case hardened frame with deep, dark, rich color variation & nicely done checkering on the grips. Action is so smooth & silky you'd almost think it was tuned. Checkered Army grip is a little thinner & longer then the standard grip but feel good in the hand. Taylors & Co in conjunction with Uberti turn out some of the most beautiful firearms to wrap your hands on. Just a joy to behold & use. This is my 6th Taylor's 1873 SAA revolver of various caliber & barrel lengths. Would also like to thank Bud's for offering just about the complete line of Taylors & Co firearms at competitive prices to boot.

Questions & Answers
Q: is this the 4 click pieta or 3 click new mobel uberti
Author: Steven R.
(3) ANSWERS
A: Steven, This is an Uberti and has 3 hammer clicks. The firing pin is mounted to the hammer which has a lightly checked spur for improved cocking. As a single-action revolver, the hammer must be fully cocked for each shot fired. It should be noted here that the hammer has three positions, each of which is accompanied by a distinctive "click" as the hammer moves through its arch of travel. The first click is the safe position. Thanks to a modern hammer safety, not found on the original 1873 model, the Cattleman revolvers can be carried with all six chambers loaded when the hammer is in this first position. The second click frees the cylinder to rotate clockwise for loading. The third click is fully cocked. With the hammer in this position the revolver is ready to fire.

A: Steven, this newer model has the floating firing pin so only has 3 - Click operation. The majority of these newer replicas have gone this route for improved safety when carrying with all six chambers loaded.
