This product seems...
This product seems nicely made, a Traditions M1873 SAA by Pietta, sliding block safety model. I did smooth the joints of the grip and the strap, which was a bit rough. My only remaining issue has been that the firing pin was solidly pressed into its channel, not a relaxed fit at all. Once it was hit with the hammer, it stayed forward and would block against the cartridge head and prevent the cylinder from turning, needing quite a bit of force to push it back. Applying a slick oil, I have been working the firing pin forward and back, using the tip of a knife to push back, and usually the slap of the hammer to push forward, hundreds of times, creating a degree of wear, and the movement is gradually loosening up. Meanwhile, this is a painstaking process. Even this method seems slightly more convenient than grinding the middle out of a screwdriver to disassemble the pin and its housing, but I continually entertain that option. I'm a bit surprised by this problem, but once this is fixed, everything else seems fine and dandy. It is a pretty piece, and it will be nice when it is a reliable piece as well, in the near future.

With regard to single...
With regard to single action authenticity, I would give this model an 85%. Negatives are no floating firing pin, trigger sets too far forward in hammer-down position, and trigger has a sharp-edge feel. No four-click hammer. Realizing the weapon is new, the cylinder pin is difficult to remove. Have not fired the weapon and therefore cannot on accuracy. Overall a nice looking weapon with smooth action.
