I just bought a Uberti...
I just bought a Uberti Remington New Model Army stainless steel stamped 25 in the square for the date code. I could see some milling marks on the top of the barrel. When I dropped the loading lever, the L/L latch dove tailed on the end of the barrel it fell off onto the floor. After removing the cylinder, it would NOT go back in as the pawl (hand) had a burr on the under side and hung up on the cylinder. After removing this burr the cylinder would go back in at half cock. Upon farther examination I found that the Hammer tip would not go tnto the safety notches, had to turn the area on the cylinder just below the safety notched down about a 1/16 inch to get the safety to function. All this and I'm wondering what's going to happen when I try to fire it. So much for Uberti quality.
