The Century Arms BFT47 Core is an American-built AK-47 pattern semi-automatic rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm. Built with a thicker bulged RPK-style receiver and forged barrel trunnion, it features a heavier-duty configuration plus a left-side scope rail for optics and a 14x1 left-hand threaded barrel for compatibility with common muzzle devices.

I bought one of these guns fron Buds months ago. I am a fan of the 7.62x39 cartridge, I am ... not ... a fan of the 5.56, for use against anything! They stacked-up in Viet Nam and in my opinion the AK ... walked on ... the M16. Anyway, this is a quality firearm that uses a quality cartridge, at a reasonable price. I like the one I bought, you be the judge of what you buy!
