The Cimarron 1866...
The Cimarron 1866 Short Rifle is beautiful but I always open up a new gun to inspect and clean it. This thing was filthy inside! Polishing compound and fine grit in everything. Once that was all cleaned off, I dug the metal shavings out, cleaned it again and gave it its first lube, the barrel needs additional attention, they have a dried up coating of cosmoline that has to be cleaned extensively to get it all out. I would recommend this rifle to anyone who apprentice simplicity and beauty of a 150 year old design that's as functional now as it was then.
