I was a little...
I was a little confused ordering a Cimarron but receiving a Chiappa. With some internet research and further clarification from Bud's, I felt reassured. The barrel is stamped "Manufactured for Cimarron." The bottom line is this is a beautiful and well-made rifle. I've only fired a few rounds through it (about 50) with no issues. I also have the Henry Big Boy in .357 and I'm very fond of it. The octagonal barrel, however, makes it a substantially heavier gun. In comparison, the much lighter Chiappa (around 6 lb) is a breeze to handle. One review of this gun on this site was very negative, which I think is a shame. If you are in the market for this rifle, you can buy it without reservation. Because of my initial confusion on the brand issue, Bud's offered to take it back. I am very happy that I did not accept their offer. I consider this 1892 replica one of the prizes in my growing collection.

This is pretty...
This is pretty amazing. The action is a bit stiff but it smooths out in the first 100 cycles or so. It comes with a saddle ring which I was not expecting. Good news is it is threaded in, and it is not difficult to remove. I just need to find the correct size set screw. The loading gate is super stiff. Makes it pretty hard to load. 38 spcl tends to ram the nose of the bullet to the left of the magazine tube. I suspect if the gate was not so stiff it would feed better. 357 loads fine. Fit and finish is fantastic and blueing is incredible deep and just perfect. The trigger is really stiff like 6+ pounds but very crisp.

Got the rifle and was...
Got the rifle and was very happy with the smooth action the rifle has. It shoots 357 magnum shells at point of aim up to about 50 yards with zero feed issue of the first 100 rounds.. I like shooting the 38 special rounds in the rifle (virtually no recoil), but it did have a few misfeeds with some flat nosed 38 special rounds. I cleaned and oiled the action, and that seems to have cleared up the issue (only loaded and fired 10 rounds). Rife looks GREAT and shoots great. As usual Bud's is a pleasure to work with. Not much else to say...

A: Hi Thomas and welcome. Any manufacturer will attempt to repair/correct the issue per warranty. There is no provision to just take it back if there is an issue without a repair/resolution attempt. This is industry standard. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!
