The Colt Trooper Patrol Carbine is a modernized, pro-quality Modern Sporting Rifle built on Colt’s legendary M4 platform. It features a 16.1-inch 5.56 NATO barrel with a birdcage flash hider, a 6-position telescoping M4-style stock, and a Centurion Arms M-LOK capable free-floated forend with a Picatinny rail for mounting accessories. A Picatinny-equipped top rail makes the platform convenient for optics while retaining traditional AR-style handling and ergonomics.

After much review, I was on the search for my first rifle, I chose this 6920 Trooper to be it. As one other has noted, when I received the rifle, the finish seemed somewhat oxidized and dry in spots all over the rifle. Somewhat displeasing, but it was easy to fix after cleaning and I was not aware on whether or not this is normal or common. Others purchased the rifle at a good point at which the price was a low $700 range, but at $1000 currently, it definitely felt disappointing that it was generally a standard model with the Centurion Handguard slapped on to compensate somewhat for the price. Other than those things, it is definitely a great rifle. After sighting the rifle in, I have only shot a few hundred rounds through it but I have not experienced any malfunctions or failures. It shoots great, feels great, and looks great. Has some setbacks, but it is still a great rifle overall and is definitely worth buying.

Item was delivered to FFL store within 48 hours. No visible nicks or scrapes or even machine shavings inside the bolt group or rifiling. Centurion handguard was tightly affixed to the receiver. It shot tight groups at 50yards. No jabronis at work here. Attaboy Colt. Attaboy budsgunshop.

On Buds - fast smooth transaction as always. Not much else you can say. On the rifle - bought it a few months ago at the $770-ish price point, which these babies may not see again for a while. Ran it through a 2 day carbine course, nothing too brutal but about 1200 rounds in two days in below freezing temperatures and did not have a single malfunction. The rail is nice, it does not have the built in QD mount like some of the Centurions do but you can spend $15 bucks and add one for your sling. This has quickly become one of my favorite ARs especially given what I paid for it.

A: yes you can but debit cards count as credit cards and do not get the 3% cash discount price. the 35 extra is only on the amount that you charge in the case of the above colt the cash price is $748.00 down payment would be $149.60 cash or $154.80 credit/debit card leaving a balance of $598.40 (cash price) . now if you pay off the rest of the gun using E-checks, checks or money orders you pay only the cash price on the balance so the gun. The advantage of using debit/credit for the initial down payment is that it secures the gun (pulls it out of inventory) right away .

A: Yes, but most Debit/Credit cards are tied to a checking or savings account. ACH Bank Draft (Checking Account routing/account number) is freely pulling money from the same account. 3% is 3% you don't have to pay from the same account.

A: Josh, the specs on these rifles are identical. There are 12 of the $955 model in stock and over 1000 of the $734 model. Stock levels can have a dramatic affect on price. As stock goes down prices will go up and vice versa.

A: Nicholas, the picture is obviously a standard M4 stock. But keep in mind that Bud's doesn't guarantee their picture and have a disclaimer for the pictures. I would go with the text and expect a Magpul MOE as stated and advertised. Having said that, everywhere else it is advertised with the same picture and standard M4 stock. Check Bud's listing in a hour or so and it may change.
