This rifle is one of the most accurate .22 LR guns that I own. And, I own some nice .22 LR rifles. The action is so simple and durable and it weighs so little. It feels like a toy. I turned this gun into a little varmint hunting set-up. There are lots of cool aftermarket parts to dress up this rifle. It would be a great gun for teaching kids. Very pleased with my purchase. I have two of these....
I have two of these. Originally the blue and now the stainless. This is a great starter rifle for the little ones. Some drawbacks, I found the rear sight to be less than superior and the safety bolt locking mechanism on the bottom of the gun can be irritating, especially if you left the key at home. There is a little button/lock on the bottom under the receiver. Push it in and the bolt will not close. You must have the key to unlock this little range headache which your kids will inadvertantly push at least 50 times! It is, however a great safety feature when storing the gun. My brother has used this gun for his kids and it went over quite well. I have purchased another one, but in Stainless, so my my niece and nephew can continue using my original. Definitly not a high quality rifle, but my kids love it and for the price I picked it up for, I really cant complain.
