When I received the...
When I received the rifle I fortunately discovered the barrel had never been torqued. I noticed a small gap between the barrel and the receiver and was able to screw the barrel around by hand. I'm just lucky that I saw this before I fired the gun.

Rifle has a great trigger but beware there is a serious flaw in the design. The feed ramp into the chamber is to wide, so that it does not guide the smaller .223 into the chamber properly. Rounds that feed from the left side of the double stack magazine go too far to the right and jam without going into the chamber. I contacted BPI and they sent a factory new magazine and said to retourque the action screws. Neither of these fixed the issue. The .223 version of the Cascade varmint feeds intermittently from the right side of the magazine if you are slow and careful with the bolt, and almost never from the left side. Didn't change with bullet profile, tried bullet weights from 53gr to 75gr. Very disappointing to have a new rifle that is single feed only. And it is very difficult to single feed .223 in this rifle. You have to physically poke the rounds into the chamber, and it is a ways in there. The area around the chamber opening is flat, so you have to have the shell lined up. Other issue was slow lock time. Noticeable delay with the firing pin, BPI sent a new firing pin spring, didn't fix it. Ended up polishing the pin with lap paste and it improved.
