I had a Howa rifle in...
I had a Howa rifle in the past wich shoot very well. The only copncern I had about buying the 243 combo was the 4-16 nikko sterling scope. I could not find very many reviews on them and I only use quality scopes such as Nikon and upper end Millit target scopes. When I received the gun the first thing I did was to look thru the Nikko scope to see if it would at least be somewhat useable. You can take my word for this I was supprised to see the scope had as good of glass as my $500 Nikon M 223 scope, clear as a bell in all powers, good mil dot retical , good side focus, everything like it should be. So unless you're a scope snob this rifle will work for you too. The rifle is very easy to shoot and I could manage several 3 shot 1 inch groups at 100 yards off sand bags. The package is well worth the money. Let me tell you the 243 has a large bull barrel for those good groups and the riifle puts the scale at 10 lbs. which may be too heavy to carry on an all day hut, depends on you're age and health.
