I have yet to shoot...
I have yet to shoot the rifle, but quite happy with it so far. I have a scope mounted and looking forward to sighting it in. I'll give it another star if it shoots as good as it looks.

Sauer 100 is an...
Sauer 100 is an enhanced version of the Mauser M-18. Mauser produces the Sauer in Germany in their Mauser plant. Mauser claims that they have the world's best production method for cold hammer forged barrels therefore they claim they manufacture the best cold forged hammer barrels in the world. Having owned several of their rifles I actually do believe their claim. The Sauer upgrade to the M-18 are a steel trigger, a stainless steel bolt and a very nice stock. These rifles have a world class adjustable trigger and shoot absolutely lights out. Buds had the Sauer on sale at around the price of an Ruger American, at this price the rifle was a no brainer. Also, I utilized Buds lay away option and was able to gather my finances to purchase this rifle at this awesome price, Thanks Buds

Q: Not so much a question but to clarify the previous question and answers. The Sauer 100 even though it is a short action caliber is actually built on a long action and the attachment screws are a different size. It takes a special pic rail that is available from Tally and purpose built for this specific gun. I just don't want the next person thinking that a short action Remington 700 rail will work. If this "question" is inappropriate here, please delete and I'll add this to a review later.
