This Savage 110 apex...
This Savage 110 apex hunter is one great shooter !!! Mine came with length adjustment fillers for the stock, in different sizes, that are easy to install . The fillers can be used individually or in combination for a perfectly customized fit. I have long arms so more length was needed for greater shooting comfort. My gun came with a Vortex Crossfire ll 3x9x40 scope. It is perfect for this gun with plenty of bolt clearance, mounted on the picatinny rail.. The Vortex is super clear and easy to adjust for both elevation and windage. I love the "dead hold" reticle with windage and elevation hash marks. The information said the gun was bore sited from factory. I did need to fire 10 shots to get it dialed in perfectly. Once dialed in, I was shooting 1 inch groups many shots "same hole". I was shooting "factory" Hornady 140 grain match grade ammo. I especially love the trigger on this gun. Wow ! Very crisp, short, light pull, perfect for shooting accuracy. I thought I might have to adjust it, but it came at about 3lb pull. No adjustment needed. After watching a couple videos on YouTube I was a bit apprehensive about the ejector, but it worked flawlessly even with the lightest of of pulls on the bolt, the empty brass was flung across the shooting table. The action on the bolt is very smooth. I've seen prettier wood stock guns, but if you want a tac driving, super accurate, work horse, buy it, this is the gun for you!
