Very well-built, easy-to-use and adjust rifle. The 110 Apex Storm in 7mm08 is insanely accurate with minimal recoil. Perfect starter rifle for a Jr. aged hunter, 14-17 yrs old (the rifle is light-weight at about 7 lbs), and an excellent all-around rifle for hunters of all ages and experience. The only negative is that the scope was nowhere near properly bore sighted. First few shots taken at 25 yds were so far off to the right I ended up bore sighting it myself. Windage needed several full rotations to the right to hit the paper. Wasted several 7mm08 rounds as a result of the total lack of bore sighting done at that factory. Eventually I dialed in the scope and got 1-1.5 inch groupings 100-150 yds out. Despite the poor factory bore sighting job, the Savage 110 Apex Storm XP is a pleasure to shoot with a smooth cycling bolt. The stainless barrel should easily last a lifetime and beyond. Overall an excellent big-game hunting rifle. Buds shipping was quick, love the layaway program. I will buy from Bud's again and again, no questions asked. Thanks Buds Gun Shop for the excellent customer service and responsiveness to my questions.

Normally a Savage fan,...
Normally a Savage fan, but not impressed with this one. The stock wasn't free-floated properly, and the accu-trigger would not get lower than 3.5 pounds. Got decent groups, but could never get consistent MOA, even with hand loads. I have a 22-250 axis and Model 11 Long Range Hunter in 6.5 Creedmoor. Both are great guns.
