This is a great rifle....
This is a great rifle. I love the adjustability of the stock (spacers and cheek risers, included). This thing is an absolute tack driver, my best group is a .47 inch at 100 yards. This one likes the Hornady ammo. I'm sure when I work up some hand loads it will tighten up. I will definitely be getting another one in another calibre.

243 Winchester Beautiful rifle, well made - action is smooth & locks up solid. Option on LOP and Comb height is really a game changer. Have gone thru a my standard break-in procedure [ 1 clean, 1 clean 5x - wait 20 miniutes - then 5 clean, 5 clean - 3x - each cleaning operation pay particular attention to concentration of copper removed on cleaning patch. Final 10 shot group, waiting 5 minutes between shots. Bullet used was Hornady 87gr. V-Max. Moderate Load Developing load now with Sierra 80gr. SBT, seated 0.005" off lands. Five shot groups at varying powder charges of Old Stock W760 & New Hodgdon H414. Loads hover around 1 moa, but with the right varmint bullet and load, have great confidence will be shooting half minute groups. The trigger on this rifle is a dream right out of the box. Although, I will most likely take advantage of the ease of adjustment on the fine rifle from Savage. Thank you Savage Arms. GK
