After a year from...
After a year from purchase, finally got a chance to zero in rifle. With a Vortex II Crossfire 3 x 9 scope I was able to get a I inch group at 100 yards. Love the rifle! Set the accutrigger to 2.5 lbs. , added one riser for the stock. I recommend this Savage rifle.

I haven't had the opportunity to send one down range yet, but the rifle seems to be well built and was with in my price range. The accutrigger was easy and quick to adjust (5 minutes to adjust to 2 lbs.). The accurelease safety feature is a comfort, knowing the rifle will not go off if jarred or dropped with such a light trigger. \r The option of extending the length of pull and the comb height is nice, although I didn't need to adjust either. The rifle has a good feel and balance out of the box. Optics were easily mounted using picatinny rail and low rings (.83) for a 56 MM objective scope giving a 1.75" center height. \r I do give this rifle 5 stars as of now for the apparent quality, options and safety features. I expect it to perform well, but we will see what happens when I'm able send some down range. \r Thanks, stay safe.
