Love the Savage Axis...
Love the Savage Axis series. Originally got a .243 model when it was called Savage Edge. Love that rifle for multi-purpose hunting, but wanted a bigger round for larger game. Why not .308? because I like the flatter trajectory with similar take down power you can get with 7mm, which is similar to the .243. Got 10 rd magazines from a 3rd party supplier, picatinny rail for the optics, and a picatinny on the forward sling attachment post for a bi-pod and I am set.
