Roy Weatherby...
Roy Weatherby introduced his line of custom built rifles in the 1940s out of his shop in California. Through the years Weatherby rifles have proven their worth out in the field from the US to African plains. The rifles were all made in proprietary Weatherby magnum calibers. These days they are also made in standard calibers. The Weatherby Obsidian that I bought in a .22-250 with a 24" barrel topped off with a Zeiss V4 4-16x44 scope with a custom made Kenton ballistic turret made for the make and bullet weight of the ammo that I shoot with precise clicks out to 700 yards. Perfect for long range shooting of prairie dogs and other varmint. The price of this rifle from Buds cannot be beat at $483. If I were to buy this rifle again I'd do so in a .257 Weatherby Magnum.
