Seems to be a good...
Seems to be a good rifle. Fore end of the stock was pretty tight against the barrel, sanded out to give it some clearance. Had some scope issues to begin with finally got tuned in. Have only put about 50 rounds through it so far, holding with in an inch at 150yds. Going to try some different brands of ammo to see what it likes. All in all good so far, would probably buy again.

A: Hi Raub and welcome. Same, just .223 is recommended since the barrel is stamped .223REM. If stamped 5.56NATO then both could be used. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

A: Hi Raub, this will safely fire .223 only, is is not rated for the higher pressures that 5.56 generates. Stay safe & have a great day!

A: sorry its not safe to use 5.56 ammo in this gun. As a General rule if it says .223 it is not safe with 5.56. If it says 5.56 it will be fine with both .223 and 5.56
