This rifle handles...
This rifle handles easily and is amazingly soft shooting with standard 8-8.5gr of Unique with a 250gr lead flat nose. The furniture finish is okay. After my first range trip I noticed some material in front of the loading gate. I thought it was a little powder residue so I simply scraped it off with my fingernail. To my horror, it appears as though the finish was blistered and the bare metal was exposed. I have tried various touch-up bluing methods (like Brownell's Oxpho-Blue Creme) to repair the finish, but I am not pleased with the result. None of this affects the functionality of the rifle but it was disappointing. It is a fine shooter with an excellent action. My order with Buds was great with timely shipping.
