This is a beautiful...
This is a beautiful rifle in the traditional bespoke style. Its Grade AAA French walnut stock is nicely figured with a satin sheen reminiscent of a classic oil finish (which can be enhanced by rubbing a few times with a silicone cloth). The sharp fleur-de-lis checkering pattern on the forearm and grip is also a nod to the French walnut. That handsome stock comes on a rifle with all of the characteristics common to a Super Grade Model 70: a highly polished blued steel receiver, barrel, magazine floorplate, and grip cap; a Shadowline cheekpiece; an ebony wood forearm tip; a pre-64 action; controlled round feed; a claw extractor; a three-position safety; a jeweled bolt body; a knurled bolt handle; a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad; a free-floating barrel with a target crown; and recessed integral sling swivel studs. All in all, an attention grabber at the range and an heirloom in the making in addition to being a very capable companion in the field.
