My first Miroku. Out...
My first Miroku. Out of the box, the action seems much smoother than the 1894's made from the 70's thru the 90's. (The only models I am familiar with) The polish, fit and finish are wonderful. The safety is smooth. Trigger is typical 1894-quite stiff. While my rifle will wear a Leupold top hat, I will replace the "classic" buckhorn rear sights. IMO they require both lots of practice and good eyes to achieve just mediocre accuracy. Difficult to justify their utility in 2024. A receiver sight or big ghost ring in place of the buckhorn would be a massive improvement for the hunter.

Buds guns was a great...
Buds guns was a great find for me.......I especially like their Layaway policy, it has allowed me to buy Winchesters model 1894 in 450 Marlin which I think is a great combo. Buds layaway is just really convienient for me. Paying the weapon off over a 90 day period works very well for my budget. Buds is extremely efficient in this process and once payed off gets the weapon out fast. I am writing this a little prematurely since I havent taken possession of the rifle just yet (California 10 day waiting period), but I have inspected the rifle a few days ago while filling out the paper work at the gun store. Rifle is in perfect shape and what a rifle it is, its gorgeous. I will continue to buy guns from Buds and use them actually as my only source, I find it much easier than ordering from my local gun shop. I simply go on Buds and what I am looking for more likely than not is right their on their store front.
