I gave this gun only...
I gave this gun only three stars because of two things. It does not have sling swivels - something that I should have noticed- and it will not cycle 7/8 ounce payloads. I called Mossberg's customer service and they told me to shoot 1 ounce loads. I bought some Winchester Super-X loads in 7/8 ounce as well as some Winchester AA's in 7/8 ounce. These shells are higher velocity than the ones that I was using so I'm hopeful that they will work. If not, I did find some Rio's in 1 once that should work. The Rio's were $5.99 a box on sale, and the ones that won't cycle are from Walmart and are just under $21 for 100 rounds. The point being, you can buy a better shotgun that will cycle the cheaper shells and end up breaking even if you shoot a lot. I had a Remington 11-87 in 20 gauge and it had no trouble with the inexpensive 7/8 ounce shells, but I sold it... bad move! I hope this review is helpful.
