Smooth transaction from Buds. This gun is an outstanding bargain for the price and 28 ga O/U is hard to find. Gun is attractive and well made. At 76, with arthritis and Afib, I had to give up shooting 12 ga. for skeet. Now I use the 28 ga for 28ga through 12ga events. That has made me a better shooter as I have to really concentrate to score well. It has really improved my shooting which was a major surprise.

Buying experience from Buds was great as usual. The Gun itself looks very nice for the price. Wood is very good at this price point and laser engraving on the receiver looks great from a distance but close up looks just so so. I'd gladly give up the laser engraving for additional attention given to other areas. The gun patterns decently with the bottom barrel around 60/40 and the top about 50/50. I do have some issues with the gun though. The trigger pull for both barrels is excessively heavy at around 7# which feels quite heavy when shooting a light gun. I'm guessing done on purpose to alleviate the problem of "doubling" that these guns had early on. I have not experienced double firing issues with my gun. In terms if fit and finish its generally good but I've had some problems there too. The fore end of the gun is a tad loose and swinging a mounted gun you can feel the wood fore end lightly tapping the sides of the barrel. Also when I received the gun there was still a burr in the cut out for the ejector that caused shells to hang up and not eject correctly. I'm also not a fan of the butt pad which I'll probably end up replacing if I keep the gun long term. It's edges are too sharp and tend to hang up on clothing. Fine for clays I guess but not ideal for a field gun. I do like the gun and and don't expect perfection at this price but just though I'd share some of my mostly minor complaints of the gun. It does seem like my CZ brand o/u has better workmanship at a similar price. I'm planning on addressing most of the issues and keeping it through next hunting season to see how it works for me. I'll give it 3 1/2 stars.
