Bought this for my son who has been enjoying shooting skeet, trap and sporting clays with his Stoeger M3000.\r Ran ~ 200 rounds through the Condor Competition today.\r Extremely pleased with the weapon, both in looks and function.\r Patterned well right out of the box. \r My son shot 18 on skeet before fitting, 22 after.\r It's going to take a few days to get the smile off his face.\r If the Condor holds up like the M3000 it will be money well spent.\r Only time and rounds shot will tell the tale.

My Condor Competition...
My Condor Competition works great. It really is a lot of fun for the money. It does not have a silver mid-bead. Stoeger customer service says it was discontinued last year. It isn't very much to have one added so no big deal. They weight of the gun helps with recoil and smooths out my swing as I am tracking clays. Overall a great bargain. Buds shipped fast as usual, Great Job!

Q: does safety need to be reset after every shot ? or every time it is reloaded ?

A: William, after every reload Sir. The Stoeger Condor, like many single-trigger double-barrels has a feature called an inertial reset trigger. What that means, in layman's terms, is the gun needs a live shell to actually be fired with the first trigger pull in order to reset the trigger mechanism to fire the second barrel on the second trigger pull. If you are dry firing or using snap caps, the trigger will not reset and you won't get a "click" on the second pull of the trigger unless you switch the safety on and back off again.

A: William, from the owners manual -- "The gun has an automatic safety. By opening the gun for loading or unloading, automatically the safety button moves to the "S" position, which inicates that the gun is locked. If on your gun the safety is mechanic, push the button to the "S" position."

Q: Could you explain this to me? I suppose that after removing the safety I can fire both barrels without removing the safety again. I can fire both barrels quickly.
