A fair shotgun for the...
A fair shotgun for the price. The firearm itself required roughly 50-75 rounds to begin to feed properly. (Would't grab the next round from mag tube) This was a non-issue since I started a "warm up" on a clay range prior to quail hunting. But take that into consideration if you plan to buy and walk into the woods. After what I call the "break-in" period, things seem to run smooth. Front hand guard seems to have a little rattle that can't be adjusted, but didn't affect performance. Overall, I like the shotgun a lot. I do not care for the choice to put an "orange" fiber optic on the firearm. Green is much easier on the eyes (faster pick-up). I do recommend if you are considering this firearm to do research on Winchester's Warranty Policy. From what I gather, it is "at their disgression" whether they will service them. HIGHLY recommend you consider BUDs lifetime warranty (roughly $30-50) added to the price to offset Winchester's possibly "finicky" warranty policy. All of my other shotguns are the Home Defense type, so I can't speak for if it shoots better than the competitors, because I wouldn't know any better. It's my first auto loader. But the bottomland camo is cool and we bagged quite a few quail with this rig. I would recommend it, but with the caution of protecting your investment with an extended warranty through buds. BUDS continues to have the best prices.
