The 68gr HPBT in 5.56...
The 68gr HPBT in 5.56 is my favorite bullet weight option of the 3 offered by Hornady Frontier. At 50 yds it consistently puts 10 shots into a 1" ragged hole from my Ruger AR556... 2 MOA @ 100Yds. This is perfectly acceptable for my intended purpose of the bullet. Ammo was clean with zero FTF or FTE.

A: Hi Greg, The 68 grain bullet can shoot well out of a 1-9 twist barrel, but it may not perform optimally; a faster twist rate, like 1-8 or 1-7, is generally recommended for better stabilization of heavier bullets. Many users have reported sub-MOA accuracy with 68 grain bullets in a 1-9 twist, but results can vary. Stay safe & have a great day!
