Quality 55gr HP 5.56...
Quality 55gr HP 5.56 ammo at a great price. Ammo was clean with no FTF or FTE. While not the most accurate ammunition in my Ruger AR556, it consistently shoots 10 shots into about a 1-1/8" group at 50yrds... 2.25 MOA. @ 100Yds.

Q: Are these really hollow point? If so why use it for target practice. I'm looking for home defense hollow point for my 556. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

A: The box says military grade. Hornady just says they make ammo for all situations. Besides, in your home target practice ammo would fill your need. Humans are fragile.

A: Yes, these rounds are indeed HP's. You can use HP for Target practice, I mean, For carry purposes one should Fire off the HP that they will load in their EDC. But HP, if one can afford it, Can also be used for basic Target practice if they choose to do so.
