So after way too much research I landed on the Springfield 1911 Ronin AOS in 45acp, commander length barrel. Its lighter weight with the aluminum frame, the AOS feature,very reasonable price, Bud's excellent layaway option and outstanding customer service etc. This has everything I was looking for in my first 1911.
