This is a solid...
This is a solid commander size 1911. Front strap checkering is a little bit aggressive and cut deep. Fit and finish is excellent. The three (3) supplied magazines are Mec-Gar. Would be good for the range, as a carry gun or a duty pistol. Very satisfied. To me it feels like my higher end 1911.

A Great Gun!! It shots...
A Great Gun!! It shots clean and tight. I ran 200 rounds through it the first time at the range and not 1 issue. A REAL 1911. I like the weight and the ergonomics are wonderful. The handle is a bit assertive. As in, it will quickly assert the texture into the palm of your hand. It shoots smooth, with a quick follow up shot. Nice tight shots groups, no misses, no jams, no misfires. I have been carrying a Hellcat with optic for my EDC. The Hellcat is going to take a break for a while. I have found no major flaws with the weapon so far. I have been back to the range twice and ran another 200 rounds though it each time. 600 rounds and no issues. I bought some extra mags, now I need a quality leather holster. I have a feeling this will now be my go to EDC. I was thinking about taking the grips off and using some 400 grit or higher sandpaper to take some of the edge off of the grips. Or buying a second pair of grips that don't dig into the palm of your hand. Then I got to thinking, if I ever have to use this in a defensive posture, I won't be firing 200 rounds through it. So in the end, Springfield got it right and I will keep the grips the way they are.
