The revolver was very...
The revolver was very gritty when dry firing with snap caps and after a session of about five minutes the trigger hung up and would not fire! I have had a terrible time finding a dealer that would finally return the gun for repair and I still don't know how much it will cost for me to get this resolved, so much for buying a new gun that should work and be under warranty! I can not recommend ever buying a rock island armory gun.

Q: Can the M206 duel action be converted to spurless ??
Author: David D.
(2) ANSWERS
A: Yes, the revolver can be converted to be hammer less. This would involve removing the side plate and replacing or modifying the hammer.
Author: Evan P.
A: David, highly likely the hammer can be replaced with a spurless hammer. I would contact Rock Island Armory for details and the spurless hammer part at Phone: (775) 537-1444. If you are having trouble reaching RIA by phone or cannot leave a message with customer service, please email them at support@armscor.com and they will get back with you as quickly as possible.

Q: Can you have the hammer down on a loaded chamber? Or do you need to have the hammer down on an empty chamber? Thanks!
Author: Richard J B.
(4) ANSWERS
A: I recommend contacting Armscor (distributor of Rock Island Armory firearms) representative for this. Contact them HERE ( https://www.armscor.com/contact-us/usa-contacts/ ) I hope this helps!
Author: Trin K.
A: Richard, yes Sir you can no issue. Cheers and stay safe!
Author: James G.
A: Richard, yes, you can have the hammer down on a loaded chamber. This has a floating firing pin and a transfer bar safety, so it's perfectly safe to load all 6 rounds. Hope this helps.
Author: Josh T.
A: Richard, yes you safely can. This gun utilizes a spring-loaded, floating firing pin coupled with a transfer bar mounted on and controlled by the trigger. Only when the trigger is fully pulled does the transfer bar interpose itselt between the firing pin and falling hammer, which allows the firing pin to contact the primer. This type of system ensures greater safety and dependability, and makes it virtually impossible for any accidental discharge to occur even under abnormal circumstances or rough handling. The only time the gun will fire is when the trigger is fully pulled to the rear!
