Nice, lightweight...

Nice, lightweight carry option. The recoil is very stiff with good carry ammo, but it's to be expected with a small, lightweight snubby. The trigger could use a little work, but there are aftermarket spring options available. I'm pleased to see S&W is still offering "no lock" options on their revolvers.

Great little revolver but the trigger pull was very heavy. Better have the ladies test the trigger pull if they plan to carry this firearm.

Hi - everyone should...

Hi - everyone should own a S&W 642, it's small, light weight, accurate, recoil is manageable, and very easy to conceal (stealth). It's the perfect platform for pocket carry (it's safer than a striker-fired auto), you can carry it without a holster. The 642 is great for EDC/BUG, some will say that 5-shots is limited, but 5-shots is better than a Glock 19 that's in you car or at home. The 642 is a great shorts and flip-flop option in the summer. \r \r I have never felt under-gunned with a J-Frame and always carry two speed-strips for a reload. I sold my Ruger LCR-357 to purchase the 642, for me, the 642 is the better 5-shot. I like the trigger of the 642 better than the LCR (you can easily double-stroke the trigger, which is a no-go for me). Bud's had the best price for the 642, buy with confidence.
