This gun was purchased...
This gun was purchased to use for personal protection since it is light and uncomplicated, The workmanship on this gun as with everything from Smith and Wesson is excellent. I decided to purchase a 38 special revolver as a home defense gun that both my wife and i could control and shoot safely in our later years when our had strength begins to diminish. This one really seems to fit that niche nicely. The only issue we had is that the pistol comes with an over 8 pound trigger pull and this was too much for my wife to use. Our gunsmith was able to adjust this down a few pounds and now the pistol is really perfect. This gun fits smaller hands well and has mild recoil. It is simple to load and shoot and is very well made.

A: The double action trigger pull is the same as the standard model. The trigger pull was just adjusted for shorter female fingers, with a resulting single-action pull on the sample guns of around 2 ½ lbs.
