This is my second El Patron. I now have one in 45 Colt and this one in .357/.38. The .38 is my new favorite. I recommend having a gunsmith smooth out the action. I did this, and also had the hammer swapped out for a low-angle hammer. The gun was worth spending the money on, because Uberti guns are nicely made works of art.

Excellent fit and...
Excellent fit and finish, shoots to point of aim. I wasn't sure about the checkered grips, but after shooting, they really add to the experience. The chambers are numbered, and the trigger is excellent, and consistent. I would recommend the El Patron to anyone who wants a tuned single action, without spending Colt money on one.

The El Patron is a...
The El Patron is a beautiful revolver. Case Harding Finish and Blue Finish is excellent. Wood grips are very nice looking and feel good in the hand. Shot the revolver with 38 special and .357 mag. Shot to the point of aim at 7 and 25 yards. Shot a group at 25 yards resting hands on bench and group size was 2.0" center to center. This is with 55 year old eyes. Three of the bullets were touching. Very pleased with this purchase, looking forward to the next shooting session.
