I recently received a...
I recently received a Howa 1500 mini action bolt rifle in 7.62x39 and found it to be very well made. Though it did not come with scope bases, the receiver was drilled and tapped and uses the same bases as a Remington 700 (which I ordered and received before rifle arrived). The synthetic stock is pillar bedded and tightly fitted to the action and the barrel is free floated. Overall, I am very pleased with this rifle. I had been searching for a 7.62x39 bolt rifle for while some time (CZ was my 1st choice but was not available in this caliber yet) and do not regret buying this rifle. As a plus, the barrel is threaded and now sports a muzzle brake.

A: Jason, this rifle is Drilled and Tapped for scope mounting. The barrel is not threaded and Rings size will depend on the Scope tube diameter you plan to use.

A: It only takes a few screws and the action comes off. Just make sure to tighten them up to company specs for the new stock.
