I have been having a...
I have been having a fun time with this gun. To begin with, it's simply gorgeous, with beautiful grain in the stock and forearm, and deep black bluing. I have taken it out of the safe a couple times just to look at it. It is very accurate rifle. It shoots both .357 and .38, and even shooting fast, without any jams so far. This is a very nice possession. I even bought an 1873 Pietta .357/.38 with octagon barrel SA to match it. I only wish it were US made.

A: Made in Japan 24" octagonal barrel 1:18.75" twist Widely known as "the rifle that won the West", the legendary Winchester 1873 remains one of the most loved lever action rifles in existence. With the pistol grip stock and octagonal barrel, this Sporter version looks more like the tool of a dedicated rifleman than a working cowboy. Winchester upped the ante by using fine Grade II/III walnut for the stock and forend. There are many reproduction 1873 rifles on the market. And then, there is the real thing, in a limited supply straight from Winchester.
