A: ALEJANDRO, yes Sir it was. The Maverick line of shotguns is assembled in Eagle Pass, Texas, using some parts manufactured outside of the United States, mainly from Mexico, which contributes to their relatively lower price in comparison to the Mossberg 500 series of shotguns.

A: Hi Stephen and welcome. Yes, it has in the past. If anything has changed, a wooden dowel cut to the length of (3) 2 3/4" shells would work nicely. Cheers, stay safe and enjoy!

A: Yes it does have the wooden dowel limiter installed. Removal: If you're not using the shotgun for migratory bird hunting, you can remove this dowel to increase the magazine capacity. For the Maverick 88, this involves removing the barrel and shaking the dowel out of the magazine tube. Capacity Increase: Once the dowel is removed, the magazine capacity will increase, typically allowing for a 5+1 capacity (five in the magazine and one in the chamber) when using 2-3/4" shells. Important Note: If you plan on removing the shell limiter, be sure to keep it in case you need to re-install it for legal hunting purposes.
