I have mixed feelings...
I have mixed feelings about this gun. Here's a list of Pro's and Con's to illustrate: Pro's: 1. Super simple design. Firearms don't get much simpler that a single shot, break action shotgun. 2. Its light weight, coupled with the unique folding ability make it an easy gun to take anywhere. It shines especially in hiking/camping/survival applications since it will fit in a backpack…hence the name. 3. At this price point, you almost have to buy one. The cost of this shotgun is about half of what I spend on ammo at the range in one month. 4. The company plans to offer swappable barrels in different calibers and gauges in the future, making the shotgun even more versatile. Con's: 1. The extreme lightweight of this gun is it main drawback for me (at least in 12ga). This thing is an absolute bear to shoot. I could barely make it through 25 rounds of 2 ¾" #6 heavy game loads before I physically couldn't take anymore. The next day I had a pretty nasty yellow/purple bruise on my shoulder. I honestly would compare the recoil of this thing with bird shot to 3" magnum slugs through my 500…not a joke. Because of this, I've already contacted the manufacture and asked to be contacted when .410 barrels will be sold separately. Before I get that barrel, I predict I will never reach for this gun when I'm thinking of taking a shotgun to the range. 2. Fit and finish leaves something to be desired. The stock doesn't sit completely flush where it and receiver meet. I suppose this is bearable though considering the cost. The bottom line: If all you're looking for is a cheap, hard hitting, lightweight shotgun suitable for a survival situation, then you probably don't have to look any further than the 12ga Midland Backpack. However if you're looking for a useful gun that is ALSO enjoyable to shoot, you may want to avoid the 12ga version and consider the 20ga or .410.

as usual price was good and shipping fast . very neat and high quality little folding shotgun . as expected kicks like a mule in 12 ga. don`t like having to pay 30 bucks extra to join `buds buying club ` to purchase a hard to get item ( 18.5 in barrel 12 gauge ) can`t wait for interchangeable rifle barrels -----
