This particular SIG...
This particular SIG pistol is like other SIG pistols I own, utterly reliable. Several years ago a few Friends of mine carried the P220 as their duty pistol for the same reason. I've always wanted one and I finally purchased one. No regrets. What a great pistol. A no nonsense workhorse of a pistol. Happy to see being Ca. Compliant, this pistol does not have that obtrusive loaded chamber indicator or the magazine disconnect.

SIG Precision 100%,...
SIG Precision 100%, this USA SIG P220R is all you'd expect and it is very sweet. Bud's was also super to work with as per usual. I was amazed to see this discontinued gun even offered? Thanks Bud's! So cool. The "OG American SIG" 45 ACP and I'm thrilled to own one. I can't say enough positive about this firearm. It shoots lights out. It's an absolute tack driver out to 30 yards. I mean it's beer can size MOA, dead on the nuts, it's incredible... it puts rounds on target, very nicely, you'll be happy. "When you shoot the Lord's caliber, you only need 8 and one in the pipe...". It was a bit tight through the first 50 rounds but once you get into the second 50 it is a dream to fire and you really feel the quality of the build and material. It has almost zero muzzle flip, not too heavy feeling, but solid, and it's amazing on the follow up shot. The DA first round is a bit awkward at first, but the SA trigger pull is perfect and is very comfy. I fit mine immediately with after market Hogue grips (shown). The siglite sights are excellent. I can't find anything to b**** on and that's incredible in itself, because I'm a picky gun owner. The stock grips were okay but there are options available to fit most shooters or collectors likes. This is definitely a solid combat platform. I wouldn't hesitate to make it my primary duty weapon or a home defense weapon. 100% Dependable, not one misfire or failure to feed. It is perfect in my book, glad I was able to get my hands on one. You'll want some extra mags and a speed loader. You'll be eating through some ammo with this big bad dog. It's an absolute joy to shoot. The best 45 ACP I can ever remember handling. I was one of the last USN boots to qualify with 1911 sidearm 45 ACP before they went M9. So I'm a big time 45 fan. This is the one, go get one if you can. Enjoy!

Super happy with this...
Super happy with this gun. Had to sell my original p220 when covid first hit. Told myself if I ever found one I was buying it, and I did. The California compliant version scared me a bit, and no one in the question section gives straight answers. After research the p220 with the original grips not e2, was grandfathered in. It dosen't have the mag disconnect or the giant loaded chamber indicator on top. The gun ran flawlessly, mags were perfect, finish was great. The gun is an awesome shooter, and as slim as the grip with the e2 is with the single stack, the original grip makes it that much more slim. As soon as the current contract i am 2orking is over, and I don't have to carry a 9mm, this will definitely be my duty weapon again. If your thinking about buying one do it.

A: The P220's don't come with LCI's, even for California. The P220's do. Mine didn't ship with an LCI. I had no issues at the FFL. Gun shops around me have 220's with. It LCI's. Also, my other P220, the Equinox, doesn't have any LCI. I sold a P220 Combat and it didn't have an LCI either. Unless this is a new thing now, but I bought this one March of last year. Makes me wonder now. It was my pleasure to somewhat assist you.
